Pittwater's Mother Nature: Mother's Day 2025

It's that time of year when we remind mum how much we love her, or feel how much we miss her if she's no longer with us.

We also celebrate, every day, getting to live here - the most beautiful, peaceful and best part of Australia - where ocean and sky meet sweet earth and green-blue hills. You never take life for granted when every single day your life is connected to this - Pittwater.

This Issue a celebration of Pittwater's Nature with some of the best over the past few years by Joe Mills (Turimetta Moods) and Kevin Murray.

Aussie Backyard Bird Count 2017: Take part from 23 - 29 October - how many birds live here?
Aussie Backyard Bird Count 2018 - Our Annual 'What Bird Is That?' Week Is Here! This week the annual Aussie Backyard Bird Count runs from 22-28 October 2018. Pittwater is one of those places fortunate to have birds that thrive because of an Aquatic environment, a tall treed Bush environment and areas set aside for those that dwell closer to the ground, in a sand, scrub or earth environment. To take part all you need is 20 minutes and your favourite outdoor space. Head to the website and register as a Counter today! And if you're a teacher, check out BirdLife Australia's Bird Count curriculum-based lesson plans to get your students (or the whole school!) involved
