Palm Beach Sailing Club - Saturday Afternoon Fun
The Palm Beach Sailing Club were trying to have a Speed Challenge yesterday afternoon but after fresh breezes late Friday evening, as all sailors experienced yesterday, the estuary was being extremely becalmed. After all waited patiently for a few hours for a promised breeze stir, everyone took to the water anyway, some mangaing to get up to 6 knots later on. Another feature of yesterday's meet was a competition for the best dressed Christmas style boat. First place in the decoration comp went to The mean machine, second place went to Dutch's entry, and third place went to the Henman's boat. Our thanks to Peter Salter for the results.
