Avalon Bulldogs Recognitions
The Pop Hall Cup for Club of the Year is the oldest trophy in the MWJRL and presented annually to the club judged to have done the most for the rugby league code in the district.
The Avalon Bulldogs first won the Pop Hall trophy in 1962 and have won it 4 times since then, the 2025 honour being the club’s 5th time to be recognised with the trophy.
This is the first time since 1994 that Avalon has received this incredible recognition, and it truly reflects the passion, dedication, and hard work of everyone involved in the club — from players and coaches to volunteers, committee members, and supporters.
Avalon Bulldogs committee members, President Matt Edding, and Secretary and Registrar Jazmin Ball stated, ''On behalf of the club we would like to sincerely thank every single person who helped make this possible. It’s an absolute honour to be recognised, and every member of the Avalon Bulldogs community should be proud of the role they’ve played in growing and supporting rugby league in our area.''
Club members also stated: ''A special congratulations also goes to Jazmin Ball, who was awarded Volunteer of the Year for her ongoing commitment, leadership, and tireless contributions to the club. We’re so grateful for everything she does behind the scenes to make the Bulldogs the strong, community-focused club it is today.''
The Manly Warringah Presentation Night also saw Avalon’s A Grade team proudly accept the Premiership Trophy after a great Season where all club members and their supporters were focussed on sharing their passion for this game and building community connections through sport.
