Robert Romer – TankPro
Pittwater gentleman Robert Romer is the owner and inventor of the TankPro water sterilizing unit. He specialises in development design applications and provisions for clean, safe, sanitised water in countries throughout the world.
I have an extensive background of over 25 years experience in water treatment by electro-chlorination, combined with a sound knowledge of electrical sanitising applications, water treatment equipment technology and techniques.
I specialize in ‘electro chlorination’ (water treatment applications) for all bodies of water including collected rainwater, grey water, waste water treatment and Emergency water aid relief. I have an extensive knowledge of water sterilisation and water purification by electro- chlorination, as well as further knowledge and experience in various fields of water treatment technologies.
My experience and knowledge also extends to co-inventor of two developed, patented water treatment products and the inventor of TankPro products. TankPro Units are seen as foundational in environment friendly, portable, easy to use sterilising units.

You are making a substantial contribution to the people of Soibada through Pittwater Friends of Soibada. Please tell us about that.
I met Tamara through Nick Halkyard of Avalon who suggested I contact the Pittwater Friends of Soibada Chairlady and see if I could be of assistance.
What TankPro hopes to achieve whilst in Soibada is to give the community access to clean, safe, sterile water. At present there is no clean, running or stored water and any water that is collected is diseased.
I will be hopefully setting up a Rainwater / Water Collection Tank, at the school and installing TankPro to sterilise this water. The water will be used for Drinking, Washing Food and Vegetables, Cooking, washing hands (after toilet use) etc.
The clean, sterile water will help eliminate waterborne diseases, bacteria and viruses and help to improve the health of the people, which suffer from vomiting and diarrhoea and sometimes death from drinking contaminated water.
Another project whilst there will be at a Medical Centre where there is already a water tank installed. At present, the water is in very poor condition, containing waterborne diseases and laden with mosquito larvae. This will not only sterilise the water but also eliminate the mosquito larvae (which are Malaria Hazard).
Again its uses will be of those listed above, however it will also help provide a sterile environment at the medical centre when the water is used to wash down areas.

TankPro TP250
The TankPro TP250 unit has been designed to suit the growing needs of water sanitation within home rainwater and grey water tanks. It simply sits in the water, eliminating water borne disease and bacteria commonly found in these tanks such as debris and catchment load, fecal coliforms (bird droppings) and Tannin staining.

•TankPro sanitises grey water also by killing off the dangerous bacteria found in collection tanks, grey water must be treated within 24 hours and always before use in the garden and around homes. Also important is the decontamination of grey water prior to any possible leak into estuaries or creeks.
•TankPro uses the minerals within these tanks to sanitise the environments, rainwater for consumption and grey water for safe cross over and interaction, as well no environmental impact issues.
