On Thursday May 8 Warringah Golf Club announced it has contracted Prime Projects to build a new, state-of-the-art clubhouse on the Warringah Recreation Centre, marking a significant investment in the future of the club and the local community.

The new clubhouse, to be located adjacent to the front nine holes of the golf course, is set to offer a full range of modern amenities, including dining facilities and event spaces, a Pro Shop and office administration spaces.

Development of the clubhouse is expected to commence in July with construction to be completed in 10-12 months.

The new clubhouse, 100 per cent funded by the Club, will offer a welcoming environment for the local community, golf club members, recreational golfers, tennis, and squash players from the adjacent redeveloped Warringah Recreation Centre plus sporting groups from the whole wider precinct.

Warringah Golf Club President, Scott Campbell, said the agreement with Prime Projects marks an exciting and important milestone which secures the future of the club and provides the local community with a new and versatile recreation destination.

“The new clubhouse will serve as a hub for the local community, providing a contemporary space that offers exceptional dining, event spaces, and all the amenities needed to make every visit a memorable one,” said Campbell.

“This is an important step forward in positioning Warringah Golf Club for continued success in the years ahead and we are delighted to have Prime Projects on board to deliver a new clubhouse which will enhance the attraction and appeal of the golf course,” he said.

“The design of the clubhouse will blend seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment, offering stunning views of the golf course while maintaining a contemporary and stylish aesthetic.

“In addition to the upgraded facilities, the new clubhouse will feature sustainability initiatives, including energy-efficient systems, solar power and solar water heating systems, water conservation measures, and eco-friendly materials,” he added.

Construction of the new clubhouse will mark the conclusion of a sustained battle to preserve the full 18-hole golf course and construct the new clubhouse following the sale of its former club on Condamine Street, opposite the course, in 2021.

“It has been a long journey but a 20-year lease on the full 18-holes plus a 20-year lease for the clubhouse on the Warringah Recreation Centre site secures our future,” said Campbell.

Prime Projects, a leading construction firm known for its high-quality projects, said it was thrilled to be working with Warringah Golf Club on this exciting project.

“Our team is committed to delivering a top-tier clubhouse that will serve as a high-class asset for the club, its members and the local community for years to come. We look forward to seeing the vision come to life,” said Daniel Swinnerton, Managing Director at Prime Projects.
