Turimetta Moods: A few Winter visions

photos by Joe Mills

Week ending Friday 1 August 2025

What a cold and miserable week, and still raining.  I only managed to get the usual shots from Turimetta Beach & Narrabeen Rockpool on Monday and Tuesday mornings.  Generally from similar spots, but always something different like the tide, sky colour, waves, rocks and algae, plus the usual fishermen and board riders.

Usual collection of rubbish on Monday morning, and a big disappointment with a break-in into the Narrabeen Rockpool dressing sheds and toilets. Vandals broke all the toilet paper dispensers in both the mens and ladies toilets, and threw the toilet paper (unravelled) through the rock pool and surrounding tidal flats. A council steel sign, bent near the entrance, may have been used to gain entry.

Very disappointing.

The sunrises help to bring me back to earth.

Week ending Friday 11 July 2025

An interesting week around Turimetta Beach, with very calm conditions & little wind.  The seas were generally flat all week, with Warriewood Beach looking like a lake last Friday morning.

There were very few clouds above the beaches, with some low clouds out to sea.  This was repeated all week.

Lack of surfers this week, but more rock fishermen early in the morning with headlamps.
