Surf Life Saving Australia is proud to announce the Australian Surf Boat Team and the Australian Development Surf Boat Team, selected to represent Australia in the upcoming Trans-Tasman Surf Boat Test Series.

Seventy surf boat crews braved trying conditions at the National Team Selection Event (NTSE) at Swansea-Belmont, NSW, with the top crews earning the great privilege of representing their country.

The Australian Surf Boat Team will be represented by the Currumbin Barbarians in the Open Males and the Collaroy Giants in the Open Females.

The Open Male competition went right down to the wire, with the Barbarians and last year’s Australian team representatives, Bulli Gold, finishing the final round on even points and thus requiring a row off to decide the victorious crew.

The Australian Development Surf Boat Team will be represented by the South Curl Curl Burley (Male U23) and the Palm Beach Pina Coladas (U23 Female).

The Australian Surf Boat Team will now prepare for the Trans-Tasman Surf Boat Test Series, which will be held on Saturday 14 February, 2026 at Wanda Beach, NSW.
