Foran has excelled in his role as interim Head Coach over the past couple of months guiding the team to seven wins from nine games and lifting the Sea Eagles to fifth place on the NRL ladder.
Although only recently retired as a player, Foran has demonstrated in a very short space of time that he is the right person for the job.
Sea Eagles Chairman Scott Penn is confident Kieran will thrive in the new role, as he has done over the past few months.
“We’ve been impressed with everything Kieran has done since taking on the interim role and are delighted to appoint him for the next three years," said Penn.
''The belief and passion he has instilled in the playing group has more than delivered on our expectations.''
“Kieran’s deep connection to the Club, extensive playing experience, and leadership qualities make him an outstanding choice to guide the Sea Eagles into the next chapter.
“We are focused on competing for Premierships and Kieran knows first-hand what it takes to bring the Sea Eagles continued success.”
Sea Eagles CEO Jason King says it’s an exciting day for everyone involved with the Club.
“You only need to look around to see the uplift Kieran has brought to the Club in just a matter of months – he has brought clarity to how we want to play, how we want to represent the Club and the standards we expect every day,” said King.
“He has the utmost respect from everyone associated with Manly, from our owners and directors, our players and staff, and certainly from our members and fans.
''We believe Kieran is the right person to lead our team into the future, and we’re confident in the direction he is setting.''
Kieran says he is inspired by the Manly community and is determined to bring success to the area.
“I’m truly honoured to be the head coach of a club that means so much to me, a club that has played a significant part in not just my footy career but my entire life,” said Foran.
“I care deeply about this club, and I want what's best for everyone involved in it.
''I will do everything within my power to make sure it's a success.''
“It's been wonderful working with this group of players over the past few months and helping them to build belief is something I have really enjoyed.
“I've been fortunate to be surrounded by some incredible staff, and they have played a significant part in the success that we've had so far.
“I feel absolutely loved and supported by all our members and fans. It makes you to want to bounce out of bed each and every morning, wanting to make our community proud.
“I believe we're capable of achieving great things this year and we will continue to work extremely hard to make sure we give ourselves every chance of achieving that.”
Foran played 196 games in two separate stints over nine seasons at Manly, winning the NRL premiership in 2011.
The final three seasons of Foran’s 17-year career were at the Gold Coast Titans, where he played his final NRL game in Round 27 last year.
Before hanging up the boots, Foran helped steer New Zealand to victory in the final of the 2025 Pacific Championships against Samoa in what would be his 34th and final Test.
To celebrate the appointment of “Foz” as Head Coach, 4 Pines Brewing Co. gave the Brookvale Oval Park a one-round makeover, renaming it “Foz Pines Park” for the June 4th Thursday night clash.
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles were at home against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 14 of the NRL Telstra Premiership which they won 28-14.
A near capacity crowd on a chilly Thursday night were treated to another gritty performance by Manly, built on defence and won at the back end.
The result lifts Manly to third on the NRL ladder with a further seven games still to be played in Round 14.
The Sea Eagles have the bye in Round 15 before an away game against the Bulldogs in Round 16 on Saturday 20th June.
Player-Worn Tees Up for Auction to Support Jai Arrow
As the Sea Eagles took the field for our clash with the Rabbitohs, they came together for something bigger than football.
''Like so many across the rugby league community, we were saddened to hear of Jai Arrow's recent diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Jai has always been known for his toughness, leadership and the way he gives everything for his teammates, both on and off the field.'' Manly stated
Jai, who has played 178 NRL games as well as 12 Origin outings for Queensland, has been forced to step away from rugby league after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND).
Now it's our chance to give something back.
To help support Jai and his family, supporters can bid on exclusive player-worn and signed warm-up tees, with every dollar raised going towards helping Jai as he takes on this challenge.
The rugby league community has always stood strong together, and this is another opportunity to show Jai that he's got an entire game behind him.
If you're able to, get involved, place a bid and help us stand with Jai.''
