Avalon Beach Ocean Swims 2018

Includes the Around the Bends Challenge
Conditions on Sunday were perfect for the second Newport to Avalon swim and the 26th annual Avalon Beach Surf Swim. 378 competitors enjoyed light winds, smooth seas, warm water, and a sunny 29 degree day.

Events were the 2.5 kilometre Round The Bends Swim and 1.5 kilometre and 1.5 kilometre swim at Avalon Beach.

Oldest competitor in the Round the Bends swim was an 88 year young man. 81 year old Virginia Head of Avalon Beach SLSC also completed the swim as did Pittwater's State Member, Rob Stokes.
