Maria Regina Bands Together at Pittwater Palms

On Monday 12 October 2015, students from Maria Regina Catholic Primary School Training Band (Years 3 & 4) and Concert Band (Years 4, 5 & 6) visited and performed at the Pittwater Palms Retirement Village in Avalon.

Band Captains Harrison Schaut and Aiden Mckechnie introduced the Bands and their pieces that were played with enthusiasm under the leadership of the School’s Band conductor, Claire Belford.

The students’ musicianship was applauded by the audience, comprised of residents at Pittwater Palms and some of the teachers, parents and siblings of the students.

School Principal, Kathy Gee thanked all at Pittwater Palms for their warm hospitality and said she was very proud of the students.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea and cold drinks, kindly provided by the Pittwater Palms and the students mingled with the audience, sharing information about their instruments and exchanging experiences.

It was a wonderful afternoon as reflected in the photos below.
