Total Wellness Market: Every Fourth Sunday Of The Month At Terrey Hills Public school

In recent decades people have been embracing ancient knowledge and practices to restore whole health. Everything from immersion in oil baths to meditation for the exterior and a focus on what we put into our bodies reinstating and creating an explosion in organic fruits, vegetables and meats or reverting and rediscovering using ancient grains and seeds has produced results for people that have meant what is old is new again and back to stay.

The focus on the chemicals in cleaning products has lead to the worldwide phenomenon known as ENJO; chemical free cleaning and natural cleaning products. The rise of RSI has been met by a rise in people attending Yoga classes.

The approach has been to restore wholeness holistically and maintain that and even go beyond. The range of products and services, knowledge and practices means you can taste again that excellent peach once known in a long ago childhood instead of a pasty, dry cold stored imitation or you can restore muscles aching from stress and a mind that won't stop racing through gentler exercises or an easing meditation.

Putting these all together is defined as 'Wellness' which the University of California further defines as;
'Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth.'

'There are eight dimensions of wellness: occupational, emotional, spiritual, environmental, financial, physical, social, and intellectual. Each dimension of wellness is interrelated with another. Each dimension is equally vital in the pursuit of optimum health. One can reach an optimal level of wellness by understanding how to maintain and optimize each of the dimensions of wellness.'

"...a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
- The World Health Organization

Imagine if you could find and access all these in one place.

Sarah O’Reilly thought it was about time we could and has worked towards gathering people experienced in many aspects of wellness in one place.

Why you have started the total wellness market?
I started Total Wellness Market after 12 months of going to markets and noticing that there was a missing for this style of market.  By bringing amazing practitioners and food providers with wellness at the heart of the vision visitors to the market will find things that they may not have seen or heard of in the past.  Total Wellness Market can be the beginning, middle or end of their wellness educational journey.

How many stalls will there be?
We have 31 stall holders at present. Each specialising in specific areas that range from food to Reiki, to improving the air quality in your home of, wonderful organic foods, coffee, and much more.

The Total Wellness Market will run on the third Sunday of each month?
Yes,  we will be holding these at Terrey Hills Public School. Our inaugural market will be on Sunday the 18th of March. After that the Total Wellness markets for 2018 will be held on April 29th, May 27th, June 24th, July 29th, August 26th, September 30th, October 28th, November 25th and January 27th, 2019.

As a community, supporting community, we have invited certain community groups to come and join us. This month we have invited Terrey Hills Scout Group to come and do a car wash to raise funds for their troop.  We will be inviting another group to join Terrey Hills Scout’s next month and we will have up to 4 different groups join us each month. Contact me if want to get involved by emailing: sarah@totalwellnessmarket.com.au

We are also looking to add different stalls to the market that address different aspects of wellness not among existing stall holders. Practitioners interested we would happily welcome and can contact me via email to discuss.

We have a Facebook page so people may 'like' and keep up to date at: www.facebook.com/totalwellnessmarket

Honey from the Hive
Run by our youngest business owner who loves sharing about bees. Amber Drop Honey has entrusted this little entrepreneur with their brand of love. This little entrepreneur is in the last year of primary school and decided this would be a great way to learn that little bit more about life.

Amber Drop Honey comes from a farm that backs onto the National park north of Taree in John’s River. The owners of Amber Drop Honey began this journey when they rescued bees and provided them with a new home.

Ana and Sven now have 75 colonies that they have rescued. There is no heat treatment of Amber Drop honey which means that their honey can turn to candy. This honey is 100% raw. Not only does this little entrepreneur have straight honey, she also has ginger honey and creamed honey.

As the name says, "Zareer's Small Batch Pantry" produces handcrafted healthy fine foods, in small batches.
Zareer, is a trained French language teacher and NAATI level 3 translator, by profession.

Besides language teaching, food has been another of his great passions. He loves experimenting with food, coming out with original creations.
It all began in 2009, when a friend in the catering industry requested Zareer to create a chutney, based on the Parsee wedding pickle. A masterful blend of spicy, sweet and sour.

After many tasting sessions, and much fine-tuning, the first batch of "Carrot & Dried Fruit Chutney" was born in December 2009. It became an instant favourite with family and friends.
The "Eggplant Chutney" and "Chevra" (Spicy cereal snack mix) followed in 2010.

From 2017, encouraged by his two sons, Zareer decided to work full-time on his food business, and started operating in weekend markets, building a loyal following of customers.

Zareer's product range, now has an interesting combination of nut spreads and nut-based snack foods. Gluten free products will follow soon.
Zareer would be delighted to have you try his various creations at the Total Wellness Market, on Sunday 18 March.

ENJO
ENJO is great for the environment, as there are no chemicals going down the drain and into the ocean. Unlike cheap microfibres made in Asia the ENJO Gloves don’t “shed” their fibres and at the end of their life span (around 3 years if used very regularly, longer for Gloves which don’t get used every day, like the Car Glove) they are sent back to Austria for recycling.

ENJO is great for your purse as it lasts and lasts and eliminates the need to buy cleaning chemicals as well as saving heaps of water and electricity. A family with 2 kids in Sydney spends an average of $ 20/week on cleaning chemicals and utensils, the ENJO Starter Pack averages $ 2/week.

About me (Christina Stewart):
I started ENJOing 8 1/2 years ago. I was so blown away when I saw it being demonstrated that I decided to have my own demo and I was so enthusiastic when inviting people that I had to have 2 demos with about 12 people each, and as everyone was saying “you should be selling this” I signed up when the consultant came to set up. My passion for ENJO was born from the necessity to find a part time job that fit around my family’s needs. It became so much more, as I learnt so much about the dangers of chemicals to our health.

Having a child with special needs put me on the journey of having to learn how toxic chemicals affect us and how to get them out of our system and I’m still learning.

Butterfly Me
Sarah is the founder of Butterfly Me. In the last 6 years Butterfly Me has grown to include:
Butterfly Dawn – A Life Coaching Practice working with mothers;
Butterfly Oilers – A Wellness Practice dedicated to Healthy Living;
Butterfly Body – Body support using the Raindrop Technique;
Butterfly Potions – Potion Parties and Training using Essential Oils.

She has recently added founding the Total Wellness Markets to her resume’ after realizing that Wellness practitioners are often under-represented in the Market space.

Sarah’s wellness journey began 25 years ago and picked up momentum over the last 11 years with the birth of her second daughter. Every mum has a story and Sarah is no different. This ‘story’ saw her retrain as a Life Coach and through that she found Young Living Essential Oils. This was a match made in heaven and the work Sarah now does revolves around Young Living Oils because of their purity, integrity and potency. Young Living has been instrumental in helping her family remain above the wellness line.

Sarah is passionate about sharing how others can learn to shift emotions that have them ‘stuck’ and create/store dis –ease in the body leaving it weaker and not as able to maintain optimum health.

This passion for sharing grew Butterfly Oilers into a loving and kind team who show others how they too can have amazing wellness by shifting blocked emotions, by removing toxic chemicals out of their home with changing the Toxic products that they currently use for Young Living Essential Oil based products.

The Young Living Range includes Cleaning, Wellness Supplements, Skin-care, Make-up and of course the Essential Oils both single oils and blends.

Way Farer Design
Way Farer – to travel by foot; a nomad, gypsy, wanderer.

Inspired by a love of unique jewellery from around the world, Way Farer Design encapsulates the beauty of both nature and simplicity. From semi-precious gemstones sourced from South America, to bamboo pieces sourced locally in Australia, Way Farer Design is for everyone.

Working in a structured and sometimes stifling environment 40 hours a week, designer and owner, Michelle, needed a creative outlet. All jewellery is handmade in Terrey Hills, with inspiration pulling heavily from the Native American and South American culture, most of the Way Farer Design line features bold colours, and statement pieces.

Simon Ford Meditation
Why meditation?
Clarity of thought, creativity, positive energy, intelligence, access to joy and healthy living are our natural state of being.

However our modern lifestyles are full of demands - work, family, friends, travel and our rapidly changing environment to name a few. As we go about our daily lives, stress, tension and fatigue accumulate in the mind and body. This accumulation affects our ability to engage in higher-order behaviours and to truly enjoy life.

Meditation allows us to unpack these stresses and access deeper, quieter states of being and to bring this source of strength into our daily lives.
Rather than trying to import happiness from the outside world, meditation allows us to export joy in all our interactions.

Meditation does not require sitting in a lotus position, retreating to a cave nor does it require a sea change or a tree change. Once you’ve learnt the practice, it requires only you and a place to sit, making it one of the most practical and portable skills you will ever learn.
Anyone can learn meditation. It is an effortless process for young or old.

About your teacher: Simon has been trained in the Vedic tradition by Australia’s pre-eminent teacher and graduated in Rishikesh at the foothills of the Himalayas. Simon has been a practitioner of Vedic meditation since 2011 and it is an integrated part of his daily life.

Simon is a full time technology consultant, husband, father to two highly active and engaged boys and coaches his son’s cricket team.

Simply Uncluttered
I’ll let you in on the secret to living uncluttered: it’s not about the stuff. Decluttering is never the end goal. It’s the first step of a bigger plan: to free yourself for a life of greater energy, deeper peace, more time shared with those you cherish or simply enjoying the feeling of walking through your front door.

Decluttering is more than a buzz word. It’s a skill you can learn for life. Once you relieve your mind of the burden of clutter, other decisions have a chance to flow, other ideas have a chance to grow. Clearing space in your home, office, garage, car or that troublesome spare room, clears the way for a greater sense of wellbeing.

As a reformed hoarder, I bring a unique perspective to my work. I spent years living with clutter and I understand the “stuff” is an outward manifestation of something else. I help people clear physical clutter while working to uncover underlying patterns that are keeping them stuck. Recognising these patterns and finding a way to shift them makes the decluttering journey so powerful.

I can help you declutter a single space, a room, a whole house, that storage unit you’ve kept quiet for years or your workspace. I also offer online decluttering coaching consultations.

Clutter can hinder your life and hold you hostage. Are you ready to break free? Would you like to live a life less cluttered?
